Time for finals already!

Posted on Saturday, July 23rd, 2005Thursday, August 4th, 2005 by Me

I started school again on June 27th. I have finals for my first two classes next week (already!). Five weeks after that, I’ll have more finals. Crazy, huh?

The classes I’m taking now are Intro to Programming and Intro to PCs and Networks. My major is Computer Networks. Now that I’ve taken Intro to Programming though, I kind of like it a little more than I used to, probably because the programs I wrote actually worked! But they were pretty easy programs to write. It was nothing all too complicated. 🙂

I’ve also been working in the career services department at school and it’s pretty easy work. I get to school at around 7:15-7:30 AM. Classes don’t start until 8 AM (or 8:15 right now), but I get there early since it’s a nice, cool, quiet place to do homework, and because they have Visual Studio .NET on the school’s computers. The afternoon class normally ends at 3 PM unless the lecture lasts longer than that, but after that I go to work. I usually work until 5 PM because I really don’t want to be there any longer than 10 hours a day. We do get a lunch break, but I get all sorts of stomach problems if I eat too much during the day, so I only eat breakfast and dinner.

Not much else that I can think of at the moment. My sister and her kids will be coming down from Washington from August 1st through the 14th. With the way my schedule is now, I really don’t think I’d be able to see them much while they’re here since they’re gonna be staying down in Chula Vista. I don’t want to make the drive down there during the week, especially if I’ll have class the next day, so hopefully she’ll make the drive up here to Escondido. Maybe I can take some time off of work, but still, traffic sucks, so I won’t want to make that drive even if I do leave early. I’ll see how things go when they get here, I guess.
