Wells Fargo is so confusing

Posted on Monday, August 6th, 2007 by Me

Arrrrrgh. Okay, first of all, if you ever go to college… NEVER ever get a student loan. Paying them back is a huge pain in the ass. I never wanted to get a damn loan in the first place.

So, back to Wells Fargo. They have the most user-unfriendly website I’ve ever seen, as far as financial institutions go.

Seriously though, it’s absolute crap the way their website works (or doesn’t work). It’s just so confusing to know whether or not you still need to pay for a particular date or if you’ve already paid it.

To make things even worse, last month they sent me a letter stating that they’d no longer be using their EFS website for student loan payments. It said that all payments should now be sent through their normal Wells Fargo online login. Okay, I get it. Don’t use EFS. You don’t have to tell me twice.

Then a couple days/weeks later I get my next bill notification from EFS via e-mail. So I remembered what the letter told me and I logged into the normal Wells Fargo site to set up payment. Click, click, type, click, payment sent! It shows up as completed in my account.

Today, I get an e-mail reminder from WF EFS with a reminder that my bill is due. WTF? Did you not get my farking payment or what!?! :mad

In the e-mail, it links me to the WF EFS website. When I login at EFS, it doesn’t give me the same info that their regular website gives me and it tells me that my last payment was sometime a few months ago. So it’s pretty much a worthless piece of crap site.

Now I’m all confused about whether or not I still need to pay this bill even though the normal WF website tells me that my next payment isn’t due for another couple of months.

Seriously, I hate Wells Fargo. And I wish they’d quit calling me and asking about opening a “free” (what’s the catch? There’s gotta be one somewhere) checking & savings account with them. I just don’t trust them at all.

I wish I had never gone back to school or even gotten this stupid student loan.

That’s part of the reason why I joined the Thirty Day Challenge this year. I’ve tried my hand at Internet Marketing and it has not produced any profit for me so far and I really want this challenge to work out well for me. The very first thing I want to do if I make any money at all is pay off my student loan, so I never have to deal with Wells Fargo ever again.

So far, the challenge has been very interesting and seems like Ed Dale, Dan Raine, and Nicolas Messe have some tricks up their sleeve (or maybe Ed has special powers that emit from his guitar when he plays) to help any Internet Marketing noob like me to make money. I really can’t wait for today’s training to be up.
