About
Hello, Universe! Welcome to my “about me” page. I guess it’s aptly named since the author name I use for my posts is “me”.
I thought it was time for a real about page instead of the lame one I had up here before that didn’t really say much about me.
You might be wondering what the heck my domain name, reyles.com, means. Well, Reyles is my last name. It’s pronounced like “ray-less” not “rails” or “ray-els” or however Jeff Probst butchered it when he was saying mine and my brother’s names on the air when he showed our artwork on BackChat on fX Networks (way, waaaay back in the day when fX was “TV made fresh daily”).
That’s probably all the information I’ll reveal about my identity. I don’t really want people to find me or my contact info easily, which kind of makes it pointless to have my domain as my last name. But back when I registered it, I thought it’d be cool to have myfirstname [at] mylastname [dot] com as an email address.
So, why is this blog called, “Hello, Universe”? Well, there’s really two reasons for that. The first is that I learned about the Law of Attraction – where you can attract & manifest things by changing the way you think and putting your positive feelings, emotions, and vibrations out there to the universe. It’s been harder to implement than it sounds, but I think as time goes on, hopefully I’ll have a better grasp of it.
One of my favorite websites about the Law of Attraction is sueandsteveshow.com – what these two have accomplished in their lives since November 2008, is a true testament to the law of attraction in action. And Sue and Steve just have amazing on-screen chemistry and genuineness that just makes me love watching them. I’ve only started watching since late March 2009, but from the first video I saw, it made me go back through all the archives and watch them all!
The Sue & Steve show is where I learned about the prosperity game, which is what my posts have been about since June of 2009. I thought it was a great idea to help me get into the right mindset. So I quickly renamed my blog from “Random stuff…” to “Hello, Universe” with the premise that each post I make is sending my vibrations out there to the universe. So, it’s in a sense, me having a conversation with the universe via my blog.
The second reason for why I titled it “Hello, Universe” is sort of a nod to the programmer in me. I have a degree in Computer Information Systems/Computer Science/Programming. Most programming tutorials, no matter what programming language you’re learning, will always start you off with a lesson on how to output “hello, world” to the user. As a blog title, “Hello, universe” had a better ring to it than just using “reyles.com” and certainly fits better with the law of attraction.
There are some old pages and posts on my blog that don’t have anything to do with LoA. Like my GiFTPiA section, which I hope to move to another one of my more appropriate domains for it. I’ll continue to keep the old stuff up just so you can see the evolution of my content over the years.
Other than LoA, I’m a huge tech gadget geek, future iPhone developer (this’ll happen as soon as I get a MacBook [got it!] + iPhone developer license and start learning the iPhone SDK), future billionaire (why stop at just being a millionaire, right?), and internet/affiliate marketer in search of a mentor, coach, or mastermind group who will keep me accountable as I make my way from newbie to super affiliate.
