I love my iPod, but…

Posted on Sunday, August 14th, 2005Saturday, March 3rd, 2007 by Me

So my brother got me an iPod for my birthday (a refurbished “HP” one). It looks and works exactly like new, just like other refurbished products I’ve bought. Anyway, I’m using third party headphones, not the ones that came with the iPod. Whenever my headphones move around just slightly, my iPod pauses itself! AAAARRRRGH! How annoying is that! At first I thought my iPod was defective, but I found out that this is actually a “feature” of the product. The way it works is if the headphones accidentally get pulled from the headphone jack, it’ll pause itself. That’s pretty nice, but not when it’s pausing for every single frickin movement. 😐

Other than that, I’m really liking the iPod. It’s way better than the piece of crap MP3 player I had before. I hope Apple comes out with a firmware fix for this way too sensitive headphone feature.
