About a year and a half ago, I signed up at a bunch of job search websites.
Since I have my own domain, I usually set up one real e-mail account… like [email protected] – then I set up a bunch of forwarders using the name of the website [email protected], [email protected], etc. that will forward to my [email protected] address. This way, I can tell where people got my info and which website gets me the most spam. If I need to reply using any of my forwarders, I just set up an identity within the [email protected] settings in Thunderbird.
Ever since then, I’ve been consistently getting spam sent to my careerbuilder e-mail address. I don’t think I’ve ever gotten any real job offers through there at all.
So, if you’re looking for a job and you want to get spammed, sign up at careerbuilder. You’ll definitely get some unwanted e-mails that way.
