I’ve been a member of Pinecone Research for a few years now. I can’t discuss what kinds of products I’ve taken surveys for or I’d have to kill ya… or something like that… actually, I’d lose my account. I wouldn’t want that to happen. Pinecone is the best!! They used to send checks before you even took a survey and I would only cash the checks for the surveys that I took (that’s the truth, believe it or not), but then they stopped sending checks in advance. Now they send you the checks after you finish the survey, but I guess some people still get checks sent before they take surveys.
Anyway, they’ve offered PayPal payments since last year sometime. I’ve always opted to keep taking checks since I didn’t know if I’d get charged PayPal fees since I have a premier account. But lately it’s taken about a week or two after taking a survey before I get a check from them. So I Googled to see if people with PayPal premier/business accounts get charged any fees for Pinecone payments. I found this thread on SlickDeals and people were reporting that they get the full $5 compensation with no fees.
After reading that, I decided to finally switch to PayPal payments. I took a survey yesterday and I got the PayPal payment for it today, all $5 of it! How incredibly awesome is that? It’s much faster than waiting for a check in the mail and I don’t have to waste stamps (to mail the check) or gas (to go to the ATM) just to deposit my check.
I’m so glad I switched payment options. If you’re a Pinecone Research member with a premier/business PayPal account and you don’t want to be charged any PayPal fees… don’t worry! You’ll get the full amount.
